Pantwari is a small village in the Tehri Garhwal division of Uttarakhand. It is located in the scenic Yamuna Valley that is known for its gorgeous terrace farms and meadows. At the village you will experience a slow paced life, far from the glitzy lights of big cities and commercial hill stations. Instead, you will be listening to birds chirping, breathing in fresh air, see sky full of stars on clear nights and experience the abundance of nature in these mountains. With several small and big temples around, simple rural life around and beautiful trek and trails’ options, you will have ample things to do.

  • Nag Tibba Trek: Nag Tibba peak is at an altitude of 9915 ft and a great trek for anyone who wishes to experience the thrill of a summit climb in a short duration. It is a great trek for beginners. The trek  requires overnight camping and takes you through beautiful forest trails and meadows. You will enjoy a panoramic view of snow capped Himalayan peaks from here and catching the sunrise is the highlight of the trek. The total distance that you will cover is approximately 14 Km. The trek will require guide services.
  • Village Walks: Don’t miss visiting nearby villages when staying at TSR Inn. Experience the slow rural life that is raw and pure. From beautiful step farms and simple village folk to traditional homes and playful children, village walks will enrich you in every way.

  • Hidden waterfalls and streams: When in the midst of nature all around, how can you not come across hidden waterfalls and streams? Enjoy time at the river bank soaking your feet in the clear waters and beautiful mountains all around. We are happy to arrange a breakfast by the river especially for you.

  • Temple visits: There are several temples here, including the revered Nag Devta temple on the way to Nag Tibba peak. There is also the Mhasu Devta temple in the village nearby that will take you about 30 mins to reach and the beautiful Vishnu Lakshmi temple and Nagraj temple near Pantwari market.
